Black Bear Cottages Directions

Black Bear Cottages is located at 577A Bonanza Trail. .  When traveling to the Big Bear area, there are three routes to choose from.  State Hwy 330 / Hwy 18 through Running Springs is the fastest and easiest route.  However, it can get congested on weekends and busy holidays.  Highway 38 through Redlands is a bit longer but is the most scenic route and often has less traffic.  Finally there is Highway 18 through Lucerne Valley which gets less snowfall during storms and has the least amount of mountain driving.  The Highway Patrol recommends, and we agree, that you always carry chains in your vehicle when traveling in the Winter months.
